Privacy Policy

Effective July 31, 2026 · Version 1.0

What Sentia Research LLC collects when you use the Service, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

1. Who We Are

Sentia Research LLC ("Sentia," "we," "us") is a North Carolina limited liability company at 4030 Wake Forest Road, Suite 349, Raleigh, NC 27609. This Policy explains what we collect when you use sentiaresearch.com and our services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

The Service is offered only to United States residents. We do not target or knowingly provide the Service to residents of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

2. What We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Account information — first and last name, email address, and (optionally) firm name.
  • Professional role — the category you select (for example: independent trader, financial adviser, wealth manager, family office, research analyst).
  • Ticker lists — the company ticker symbols you add to a watchlist or portfolio, or upload by CSV.
  • Communications — messages you send us, and information you submit through an enterprise-inquiry form (which may include firm name, role, team size, and phone number if you choose to provide it).

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken in the Service.
  • Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring page.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used for authentication, session management, and basic analytics. See Section 8.

Information we do not collect. We do not collect or store: brokerage or bank account credentials or account numbers; the dollar value of your holdings; share quantities; cost basis; transaction history; realized or unrealized gains or losses; Social Security numbers or government identifiers; or full payment card numbers. Watchlist and portfolio features store company ticker symbols only. Payment card data, when billing is live, is collected and processed directly by Stripe.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

3. How We Use It

We use personal information to: create and administer your account and authenticate you; provide, maintain, and improve the Service; generate and display research for the companies you follow; send transactional messages (verification, password reset, security, and account notices); respond to your inquiries; process payments and manage subscriptions when billing is live; monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents; understand aggregate usage to improve the product; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence models, and our AI provider does not train its models on the data we send through its commercial API.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sentia, our users, or the public, or to investigate fraud or a security incident.

Business transfer. If Sentia is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in control affecting your information.

With your direction. We share information as you request or authorize.

5. How Long We Keep It

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings; deletion removes your account and associated records, including your profile, ticker lists, and activity records. Some information may persist in backups for a limited period and in records we are required to keep by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, row-level database security, and required email verification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law, including under North Carolina's Identity Theft Protection Act.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may: access the personal information in your account; correct it through your account settings; delete your account and associated data from your settings; and opt out of non-transactional email. You cannot opt out of transactional messages necessary to operate your account (verification, security, billing).

Depending on your state of residence, you may also have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, request a copy in portable form, request deletion, correct inaccuracies, opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any right, email contact@sentiaresearch.com. We will verify your identity through your account email and respond within the period required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted). If we decline a request, we will explain why and how to appeal.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where transmitted by your browser.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management (necessary for the Service to work), preferences, and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not participate in cross-context behavioral advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the Service will not function properly without authentication cookies.

9. Third-Party Sites

The Service links to third-party sites, including SEC EDGAR and news publishers. This Policy does not apply to them. Review their privacy policies before providing information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always posted at sentiaresearch.com/privacy with a "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice by email or prominent notice in the Service before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
